Hey there. My full name is Alexandre Courbot, I was born in 1980 and I'm currently living in Lille, in the north of France.

I am a young researcher (defended my thesis in September 2006) working at the POPS team of the Laboratoire d'Informatique Fondamentale de Lille. You can learn more about my work and my thesis topic by going to my professional page.

Although these last years my thesis required the biggest part of my time, I use to code for various software projects, and I occasionally contribute articles to the Linux Magazine France and Linux Pratique French magazines.

I am obviously a free software enthousiast, currently running Kubuntu on my machines.
